The Premier Soccer League [PSL] has confirmed the appointment of a new disciplinary committee [DC] panel. The panel comprises four co-chairpersons and 17 panellists who will serve a four-year term.
Each disciplinary hearing will be led by one chairperson alongside two panellists. Former SAFA CEO Raymond Hack is one of the chairpersons in the new committee. Former Bafana Bafana defender Matthew Booth has also been roped in as a panellist on the committee.

The co-chairpersons are Advocate Sesi Baloyi SC, Advocate Thabile Ngubeni, Advocate Jeanett Nkaiseng and Raymond Hack.
The panellists are as follows: Mr Ntika Maake, Mr Joe Mokwana, Mr Matthew Booth, Ms Palesa Maseko, Ms Verushka September, Basetsana Molebatsi, Ms Mieke Krynauw, Ms Corrine Berg, Ms Diane Peters, Mr Solomon Tshivhase, Mr Godfrey Montshioagae, Mr William Sejake, Pasno Nyachowe, Mr Shane Wafer, Mr Cobus Bredenkamp, Mr Jack Kearns and Mr Aobakwe Taunyane.
According to the PSL, the DC is “an independent body entrusted with ensuring fair and impartial adjudication of all disciplinary matters within the League.”
One such high-profile case involves Samir Nurkovic and Royal AM. The dispute, which began in 2022, has been a drawn-out affair involving FIFA and the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS).
Nurkovic joined Royal AM in early 2022 but had his contract terminated before playing a single game. He subsequently claimed that the club owed him over R10 million in unpaid wages.
FIFA ruled in favour of the former Kaizer Chiefs striker Nurkovic. They ordered Royal AM to pay the outstanding amount and imposed a transfer ban on the club. Despite appealing the transfer ban to CAS, Royal AM’s appeal was dismissed, leaving the club facing significant financial and operational challenges.
