PSL club already lining up ex-Kaizer Chiefs coaching candidate?

A reported former Kaizer Chiefs coaching candidate could already be on the radar of another PSL club.

Last week, Sead Ramovic left the South African football fraternity stunned, after resigning on live television.

Ramovic leaves Galaxy

Speaking after TS Galaxy’s 1-1 draw against Stellenbosch, the German-Serb dropped the bomb to SuperSport TV. This ending a three year spell at the Rockets. During his time at the club, he lead them to the Carling Knockout Cup final against, coincidently the Cape Winelands side. They would unfortunately go on to lose that final despite scoring first through Lehlohonolo Mojela. Ramovic also led the side to their highest finish on the log table last season.

But after failing to produce the goods this season, with Galaxy yet to win, Ramovic took the decision to leave. It’s also thought that his decision was influenced by the constant losing of his best players to other PSL rivals. In the past seasons the Rockets have sold the likes of Melusi Buthelezi, Given Msimango, Fiacre Ntwari and Mojela. This to Orlando Pirates, Chiefs and Stellies respectively.

Having now left Galaxy, reports have emerged that PSL rivals Richards Bay are interested in Ramovic. These courtesy of Soccer-Laduma

Richards Bay interested?

“The Siya crew has been led to believe that a Betway Premiership club has placed former TS Galaxy coach Sead Ramovic on top of their list as a possible replacement for a coach who is under immense pressure. Indications are that Richards Bay are not impressed with how things have gone with Brandon Truter at the helm since he was appointed as a replacement for Vusumuzi Vilakazi, who saved them from relegation last season. One of the coaches believed to be a target for Richards Bay is Ramovic, who recently parted ways with Galaxy. With money being pumped into the club, it’s understood that the project could entice Ramovic, who stated that he would love to return to Europe to spend more time with his parents.” Wrote the publication.

Ramovic was one of the coaches that was heavily linked to the Chiefs job, before they settled on Nasreddine Nabi. After leaving Galaxy, would Richards Bay be a good option for him? Feel free to leave your comments and thoughts below.
