Prince Kaybee says Kaizer Chiefs team is not competent

Prince Kaybee is not taking Orlando Pirates’ recent loss to Kaizer Chiefs lightly and has now accused the winning team of foul play.

The Fetch Your Life hitmaker, known not only for his music but also for his outspoken support of the Buccaneers, took to social media to express his frustration over the result of the Nedbank Cup final played on Saturday, 10 May.

Still clearly upset days after the match, the DJ responded harshly to a congratulatory message posted by the South African government in honour of Kaizer Chiefs’ long-awaited victory.

The post, which celebrated Amakhosi’s end to a 10-year trophy drought, didn’t sit well with Prince Kaybee.

Taking to X (formerly Twitter) on 15 May, he alleged that the match had been unfairly officiated in favour of Chiefs.

“You mean the referee ended the 10-year drought. Chiefs can’t win anything on competence, weak!” he wrote.

His comment stirred intense reactions online.

Kaizer Chiefs fans fired back, telling him to let it go and accept the outcome, while some Orlando Pirates supporters echoed his sentiments, claiming the game had questionable moments.
