PRINCE HARRY AND MEGHAN MARKLE PURCHASE VACATION HOME

The Sussexes, Prince Harry and his wife Meghan Markle have reportedly purchased a holiday home in Europe after King Charles evicted them from Frogmore Cottage in June 2023.

Page Six reports that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex bought a property somewhere in Portugal. This is near where Prince Harry’s cousin, Princess Eugenie and her husband, Jack Brooksbank also own a home in the north of Lisbon.

Daily Mail reports the purchase of the home in Portugal may have allowed Prince Harry and Meghan to acquire a so-called Golden Visa, under which they would have visa-free access to the European Union’s Schengen area.

Prince Harry and Meghan quit their roles as senior working members of the royal family in 2020 and moved to California, US, where they started a new life with their family. The Sussexes are parents to Archie (5) and Lilibet (3).

PRINCE HARRY AND MEGHAN MARKLE EVICTED FROM FROGMORE COTTAGE

This comes after the pair was evicted from their “UK home”, Frogmore Cottage by King Charles in June 2023. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex were given Frogmore Cottage as a wedding gift from the late Queen Elizabeth II.

Royal author Tim Quinn previously claimed that Prince Harry was “burned” by his father – King Charles’ decision to evict him from the property.

“Harry and Meghan imagined Frogmore would always be there for them even if they came back to the UK for just a few weeks each year and even if they were no longer working royals,” Quinn told The Mirror.

“That assumption speaks volumes about just how out of touch with each other King Charles and his son had become,” Quinn continued.

In April this year, Prince Harry filed for US residency, using the date he as evicted from Frogmore Cottage (29 June 2023) as the date for officially living in the US in new business documents. According to Daily Mail, Prince Harry was “deeply wounded” by his father’s decision to evict him and Meghan from Frogmore Cottage.

The Duke of Sussex recently visited South Africa.
