Rumours have been swirling that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle may have used a surrogate to welcome their children Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, but where did these rumours come from?

PRINCE HARRY AND MEGHAN MARKLE SURROGACY RUMOURS

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are facing rumours claiming that they welcomed their two children via surrogate. The pair are parents to Prince Archie (5) and Princess Lilibet (3).

Where did the rumours start? Radar Online reports that Buckingham Palace is allegedly being pressured to remove Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet from the royal line of succession until Meghan proves that she had both babies herself. The publication quotes a source claiming that surrogacy speculation has been simmering for years.

“This scandal comes as no surprise. Speculation about the children has been simmering for years,” said the source.

“The kids are sixth and seventh in line to the throne but have been under cloak-and-dagger secrecy since they were born. There are so many questions swirling around them. This crisis won’t die down until the irrefutable truth comes out,” the source continued.

However, there is no proof to the rumours that the pair used a surrogate. In 2020, Prince Harry and Meghan quit their roles as senior working members of the royal family and moved to California to start a new life with their family

ROYAL AUTHOR: ‘STINKS TO HIGH HEAVEN’

Lady Colin Campbell, a royal author, has spoken out on the rumours. She urged the couple to end the mystery, as per The Economic Times.

“I think the whole thing stinks to high heaven,” she said.

“Meghan has created a situation that has caused people to believe the children were born by surrogacy. Clear it up once and for all. There should be no mystery as to who is legitimately in the line of succession,”
