Pitso Mosimane has broken his silence on rumours linking him with the mighty Orlando Pirates.

ORLANDO PIRATES LEGENDS CALL FOR PITSO MOSIMANE

As reported last week, two of the club’s former players were recently asked to suggest the right man to replace the outgoing Spaniard. The club’s former star – Albert “Bashin” Mahlangu – told Robert Marawa on 947 that Mosimane is the right man. A few days later, Mpho Makola, also a former Orlando Pirates star, said to FARPost that the former Mamelodi Sundowns, Bafana Bafana and Al Ahly coach has the experience and quality to continue where Riveiro left off.

Meanwhile, the Kagiso-born coach has entered the conversation.

“I’ve seen it [speculation]. Nobody has spoken to me. So, we can’t be talking about nothing,” he told The Sowetan. “We will see. At the moment, this badge [Pitso Mosimane Youth Football] means a lot to me, more than any other badge.

“I’m home, yes, but it depends. It must be the right project, it must be the right time. But let me build this legacy, because once I stop coaching people will forget about the trophies. Let’s have something that will keep me going. Look how busy I am, today I’m here, [and] I’m going to another school. I was launching one in Rustenberg three days back, I’m so busy, it’s not funny…

“I’m not even seeing the vacancy of not being on the pitch. I’m on the pitch with the coaches, I’m watching them, are they doing the right thing.

“It’s hectic. I’m every day at the office, I’m every day at the pitches, every day at the schools, every day at the government offices, so I can’t ask for more. I’m blessed, thank you,” Mosimane concluded.
