Orlando Pirates fans are calling on the club management to secure the services of South African coach Pitso Mosimane.
This comes after the club announced that Jose Riveiro was stepping down as head coach at the end of the season.
“While we would have liked José to extend his stay with us, at the same time, we fully respect his decision. We are grateful for everything he has done for the Club.” Pirates chairman Irvin Khoza said in a statement.
Pirates fans wants Pitso Mosimane
“The achievements of the intervening years speak for themselves. The joy that José and his support staff have brought to this Club will never be forgotten.”
Riveiro has won five trophies with Pirates in three seasons but can still win more. Given that the Spaniard is still involved in three competitions, he can end his Bucs tenure with eight trophies.
Pirates fans feel the club should act swiftly and acquire the services of Pitso Mosimane.
“Pitso is the next best coach who can take this team forward. Pirates cant afford to take any other coach who’s going to take as long as Nabi to build a winning team,” tweeted @Timzozo1.
“Orlando Pirates should consider hiring Pitso Mosimane for several compelling reasons, based on his track record and the club’s current needs. Pirates need a proven winner, and he fits the bill,” tweeted @Sheldon_RS17.
@LeboKillerMalel wrote: “I don’t even want to entertain talks of who’s replacing him at Orlando Pirates. Be it Pitso or Pep, I don’t want to know.”
Who should replace Riveiro? Pitso or should the Bucs look overseas?
