Musician and television personality Phelo Bala says he is ready to take on his next chapter after completing a six-month substance abuse recovery programme.

Phelo opened up about his journey on social media, posting his sobriety certificate.

He also shared a ‘before’ transformation picture and revealed that he is beginning a 30-day body transformation challenge.

“This is me—raw, real, and ready to take on the next chapter of my transformation. Today marks the beginning of my 30-day body transformation challenge.

“It’s not just about physical change but about embracing discipline, pushing limits, and honouring the body God has blessed me with,” he wrote.

Phelo added that the journey is about living with purpose and showing up for himself every day.

He said he plans to give his fans regular updates about his transformation journey.

He added, “Knowing that growth happens when we step out of our comfort zones. If you’re on a similar path — whether it’s fitness, sobriety, faith, or self-discovery — know that you’re not alone. Let’s walk this road together, one day at a time.”

Phelo’s struggle with alcohol abuse has been showcased on his family reality TV show, The Bala Family.
