Penuel Mlotshwa has been dragged over a since-deleted X post in which he questioned the “credibility” of rape victim, Cwecwe.
The controversial podcaster is known for both his unfiltered opinions as well as having seven children with multiple women.
Cwecwe was reportedly raped at her Eastern Cape school last year. Despite occurring in October 2024, her case has only recently been made public.
PENUEL MLOTSHWA POSTS AND DELETES CONTROVERSIAL VIEWS ABOUT CWECWE
In an X post – which has since been deleted – Penuel Mlotshwa commented about his views on the DNA samples taken from three persons of interest in the rape of Cwecwe.
As revealed in an update by Minister of Police Senzo Mchunu on Friday, 4 April, there are no witnesses, no suspects, and no foreign DNA found in the rape investigation.
Penuel tweeted: “I don’t see this case going any further, to be honest. The credibility of a seven-year-old is also questionable, even if she pointed out the perpetrator.
“At this point, we can’t even confirm if she was really raped or not. It’s tough.”
BACKLASH OVER BRAZEN POST
Needless to say, many South Africans were livid about Penuel Mlotshwa’s claims about rape victim Cwecwe.
@BafanaSurprise: “This is what a Father had to say about the poor Cwecwe, who suffered the worst tragedy! This man is mentally ill”.
@NeneLeakesWigs: “Penuel, you are disgusting. Cwecwe was examined by three doctors, who all said she was violated. Are you saying you know better than medical professionals?”
@Miss_Thiqueness: “And that is why I am Penuel’s biggest hater. What kind of person questions the credibility of a 7-year-old rape victim?
