Multi-award-winning musician Oscar Mbo is on a mission to clear his image from being known as the bully in Mzansi’s entertainment industry.

Known for producing major bangers like Yes God, Asambeni, and Wele Wele, Oscar Mbo has built himself quite a reputation of being one of South Africa’s top talents in recent times. While he may be adored for his countless hits among fans, the singer has recently found himself being in a bad light following two separate altercations with two of Limpopo’s biggest artists, Makhadzi and Kharisma.

The BET Award-winner expresses great disappointment at Oscar after their recent performance at the Cultural Urban Festival Africa which took place in Bloemfontein. Makhadzi took to social media accusing him of sabotaging her performance by removing her USB, which resulted in her performing only for 20 minutes.

Similarly, he was also accused of forcefully removing Kharisma from the stage at a festival.

Meanwhile, Mbo has recently defended himself in an interview with entertainment publication TshisaLive, explaining that there appears to be lots of confusion.

“I’m a humbled guy, I respect people and there’s a lot of confusion,” he said.

Oscar believes that it was the organisers of the event’s responsibility to clear up the misunderstanding.

“They are in charge of the shows or time slots and operations as a whole. So having their say on these things would clear up a lot of confusion on situations that happen during shows which end up getting artists fighting among themselves.”

News24 reported that Oscar had apologised to Makhadzi during a live chat where he explained that there was confusion over the timing and logistics on the organiser’s side which had led to the incident.

He told TshisaLive that his main goal is to maintain good relations with both Makhadzi and Kharisma going forward, which led to his apology for the miscommunication in both instances.

“I was the one who ensured that I am in a good space with these artists that are mentioned and that I did for harmony among us for future and working relationships.”

Meanwhile, both Oscar and Makhadzi have called the promoters to release a statement that would rectify the situation.
