Orlando Pirates are set for some big moves in the January transfer window.

The Buccaneers are looking to challenge on all fronts in the second half of the season with the CAF Champions League, Betway Premiership and Nedbank Cup all still up for grabs.

And according to the latest reports, three headline signings could be on their way to Mayfair next month.

Polokwane City duo of Oswin Appollis and Thabang Matuludi are closing in on moves to the Buccaneers. But Jose Riveiro is not stopping there.

Former Bloemfontein Celtic and Chippa United star Siphelele Luthuli, who’s currently unemployed, was invited to trial at Orlando Pirates.

The 29-year-old attacking midfielder has reportedly also impressed Jose Riveiro and will be awarded with a contract at the club next month!

“Luthuli is still training with Pirates. He is a good player. He has done well so far. It looks like the club is preparing to sign him in January,” an insider told KickOff.

In other related news, Orlando Pirates midfielder Karim Kimvuidi is a wanted man on the African continent.

The talented 22-year-old joined the Buccaneers from Maritzburg United last year, and has made 29 appearances for the club thus far.

Despite limited playing opportunities, Kimvuidi’s talent is undeniable, and some of the continent’s biggest teams have been taking notice of the Congolese star.

According to the latest transfer gossip, three African giants are chasing the Orlando Pirates midfielder’s signature!

Pyramids, Simba, and Al-Hilal have all made inquiries about Karim’s availability, but they have only spoken to his agent and are yet to table an offer to Pirates,” a source told Citizen.

“They all want to sign him in January. But from what I heard, Orlando Pirates are only open to sending out on loan for him to get game time somewhere else.

“They don’t want to sell Karim outright because they feel that he has the potential to be a key player for Pirates in the future. He’s only 22 and has a lot of time to establish himself at the club.”

In other news, Orlando Pirates star Mofokeng is also reportedly attracting serious interest from Spanish giants Barcelona FC!
