The club and their star player have been at loggerheads for months, stealing the headlines for all the wrong reasons.
Saleng was certain to be leaving the club ahead of next season considering he didn’t play for the club at all in 2025.

According to the latest transfer gossip, Monnapule Saleng may end up not only staying at Orlando Pirates but playing a massive role at the club next season!
Saleng was reportedly on his way out of the club with reports going as far as claiming he had joined rivals Kaizer Chiefs.
While it remains a possibility, new reports suggest Orlando Pirates are working hard to solve their problems with Saleng.
“The club is busy with preparations for next season, and you can expect more players to be allowed to move on to make space for new signings. He (Saleng) is one of the players the club is currently busy with regarding his future,” an insider told Soccer Laduma.
“But from what I understand, there is a slight chance for him to stay, if the parties manage to sort out their differences. If not, then anything could happen. At the end of the day, he needs to get back on the field and play. The club loves the boy, and he loves the club, it’s just that there were issues that needed to be sorted out, which affected his progress this season,
