Fiston Mayele is a long-standing target for Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates. However, a proposed move to Amakhosi has fallen through.

Kaizer Chiefs put off by Pyramids’ financial demands over Mayele

According to the latest reports, Chiefs are reluctant to negotiate with Pyramids FC over star striker Fiston Mayele. The Egyptian side continues to raise its price for the Congolese marksman. They face Sundowns on Saturday, 24 May, in the first leg of the Champions League final.

“Almost every time they want to sign him, the price goes up because there are other clubs interested in him as well, and now it’s believed that Pyramids are extending his contract, which makes it even harder to convince them to let him go,” a source revealed.

“So, it’s for these reasons that the club is believed to have reached a decision to give up on Mayele for now.”
