Orlando Pirates set for Appollis and Matuludi swoop!

Orlando Pirates appear ready to break the bank this January with the club linked to several stars, namely Oswin Appollis and Thabang Matuludi.

The Polokwane pair have gained substantial interest with the likes of Kaizer Chiefs also gunning for their signatures; however, reports suggest that the Buccaneers are favourites to sign both.

The increased likelihood of Orlando Pirates getting a deal over the line comes down to them having a great rapport with Polokwane’s Charmian Johnny Magaladi, who is a notoriously strict negotiator.

Rumours confirmed

“Orlando Pirates are close to signing Oswin Appollis and Thabang Matuludi from Polokwane City. #UNPLAYABLE can reveal that the deal could be concluded before the end of this week,” a source confirmed.

Lucas Ribeiro on the move?

“What I can tell you is that there is a Championship club in England that is interested in Lucas [Ribeiro Costa],” a Siya source stated.

“They have inquired about him and they are not the only club that have inquired about him. His performances have not gone unnoticed as even his former club in Belgium (Beveren) has asked about him. There is a lot of interest in him.”

“Although there is interest from Europe including that from Burnley FC, but Mamelodi Sundowns are not willing to let him go,

“He is one player that they can fight to keep at all cost. They know the value he brings to the team and the squad and both management and the technical team are happy with his contribution to the team.

“That’s why they want to hold onto him despite the interest from Europe.”
