Brian Baloyi says Kaizer Chiefs should be moving heaven and earth to sign an Orlando Pirates player in January.

Baloyi wants Lepasa at Kaizer Chiefs

Former Bafana and Chiefs stopper Brian Baloyi says Amakhosi should be looking closely at the possibility of signing Zakhele Lepasa from Orlando Pirates.

“There’s a certain player at Orlando Pirates who is not playing,” Baloyi told Metro FM as quoted by IDiski Times in reference to Zakhele Lepasa.

“Tell who is better than him at Kaizer Chiefs. He is a Bafana player, when he plays he’s in Broos’ squad. Tell me who is better at Chiefs than him right now, as a striker.”

What’s happening with Saleng?

Meanwhile, readers on The South African haven’t been shy to weigh in with their transfer wish lists. One supporter wants Chiefs to sign Monnapule Saleng, Fawaaz Basadien, Feisal Salum, Fiston Mayele, Thabo Cele, Oswin Apollis, Percy Tau. Would this solve their defensive issues though?

After a spell in the wilderness, Monnapule Saleng is once again a key operator for Pirates. The 26-year-old wide attacker has been heavily involved this term with 13 appearances across all competitions, although only three of those have been in the Betway Premiership.

The Buccaneers travel to Cape Town next week to take on Cape Town City. That’s the first of five tasty clashes on the horizon. A blockbuster clash with Al Ahly and Percy Tau also stand out like a sore thumb.

Should Zakhele Lepasa and his people be considering a controversial switch to Kaizer Chiefs?
