Orlando Pirates youngster Siyabonga Ndlozi, 22, is already thinking about making his next move. According to reports, he has his heart set on Europe and sees his first-team promotion as a step towards making that his next destination.

“That’s how high he is aiming, believe it or not Siyabonga Ndlozi. He is a very confiedent player and his dream is to player overseas,” SoccerLaduma revealed.

“The first move was to break into the Pirates first-team, and now that has been achieved, he is working on cementing his place in the team to boost his chances of a European move.”

The Buccaneers Jose Riveiro has high expectations for Ndlozi, securing the defender to a three-year deal before the start of the current season.

Sundowns slayers

Orlando Pirates ended a five-year drought over Mamelodi Sundowns as they shrugged off Miguel Cardoso’s side by two goals to one. Some Relebohile Mofokeng magic sent the Buccaneers on course for what could be their defining moment of the season.

“Every point is important in a league where it seems there’s one team who’s going to finish close to 80 points, probably by the end of the season,” Jose Riveiro pondered..

“So obviously if you want to compete with them, when you look at the schedule, you cannot say to yourself, ‘Okay, here if we get a point, it’s fine’, or even today playing against them, ‘If we get a point, it’s going to be alright’, it’s not.

“You have to always fight for the maximum points, and again, it’s a pity that we’re not arriving in this game – obviously we’re going into the space of the ‘ifs’, but still we have four games more to play than them,” he added.

“It would have been nice to have [had] those games played already, come here and maybe, I don’t know, even if we are six or seven points behind them and even three points, just that little advantage would give the game a different dimension, I’m sure.”

Following the international break the Soweto giants head to Algeria for the first leg of their quarter-final Champions League clash against MC Alger, before returning home to take on SuperSport United, Magesi and Kaizer Chiefs.
