Orlando Pirates will be releasing and signing a couple of players during the current transfer window.
Orlando Pirates have SIX players linked with departures.
Meanwhile, the club has just confirmed their first exit of the current transfer window.
PIRATES FIRST EXIT
Gilberto will be returning to his former club.
“Orlando Pirates has reached an agreement for the loan transfer of Angolan international Gilberto to Petro de Luanda for the remainder of the season,”
“The move sees Gilberto return to his hometown club, pending the successful completion of a medical,” the statement read on Pirates official website.
Meaning, Deivi Miguel Vieira is the first player set to leave the Bucs. However, it is a loan move. So, he has not been sold permanently to Petro did Luanda.
MORE EXITS PENDINGS
With the transfer window coming to a close, a couple of players are set to change.
For some, it signals the end of a chapter. Whilst, for others it is a new journey – a new book. For some, the end of a book and for others a new book or even a sequel.
Several Pirates stars have been linked with big moves out of Mayfair. However, most of the links so far have been dismissed as rumours. Pirates were quick to rubbish the recent rumours around Monnapule and Monnapule Saleng. Initially, reports claimed that they were linked with departures but the Bucs dismissed these reports.
Here is the official statement from Pirates:
“As Orlando Pirates Football Club, we have noted with great concern a growing trend of misinformation circulating on social media and in certain media outlets regarding alleged offers for some of our players. Ordinarily, the Club refrains from engaging with baseless rumours aimed at creating unnecessary sensationalism and clickbait. However, the persistence and escalation of these unsubstantiated claims now compel us to set the record straight.
“The misinformation began with a fabricated story regarding Monnapule Saleng, alleging that the Club had denied the player a lucrative transfer opportunity to a team in the Middle East. Initially, we chose to disregard this as, yet another false narrative meant to explain the player’s temporary absence from the playing squad. Unfortunately, the story has since gained unwarranted traction, even being picked up by some mainstream media outlets,” the statement read.
Meanwhile, as reported on SNL, there is uncertainty of the future of Pirates captain Innocent Maela. Finally, Karim Kamvuidi wants to leave the PSL this transfer window.
