SASSA has moved the date for SRD grant payments, which will be processed later in February, according to a statement issued on 21 February 2025.

The change in dates comes as a number of SRD grant beneficiaries have been open about status check issues. They have expressed on social media that they can’t check their status on the SASSA SRD website. Here are the new SRD grant payment dates released by the agency.

NEW SASSA SRD GRANT PAYMENT DATES FOR FEBRUARY

In the agency’s initial flyer, the dates for SRD grant payments for February were from 24 – 28 February. However, it seems recipients will have to wait a bit longer to get paid.

SASSA has stated that payments will now be processed much later, according to their flyer shared on its social media pages.

Their post states that payments will be processed over a three-day period. The dates are 26 – 28 February 2025.

SRD GRANT BENEFICIARIES TO CHECK THEIR STATUS

SASSA has urged beneficiaries to check their status on the SRD website to see if they have been approved for the month of February.

“Clients are encouraged to view their status on the SRD website for the exact date that payment will reflect into their bank accounts,” SASSA stated.

SOME BENEFICIARIES COULD ONLY RECEIVE PAYMENTS IN MARCH

With the processing of SASSA SRD grant payments being so late this month, not all individuals will receive it. So some of the grant beneficiaries could only be paid in March.

This is because SASSA usually informs beneficiaries that payments are not received immediately after they are made. According to the agency, it takes up to three days for payments to reflect in bank accounts.
