‘We are going through a moment of bad luck,’ the Chiefs head coach told reporters after the Galaxy game.
Kaizer Chiefs head coach Nasreddine Nabi continues to insist bad luck has played a part in Amakhosi’s disappointing Betway Premiership season.

Chiefs will face Mamelodi Sundowns on Sunday in the Nedbank Cup semifinals. This is a game Amakhosi have to win if they are to keep up their chances of avoiding going a decade without a single piece of official Premier Soccer League silverware.
Chiefs’ poor form
Amakhosi’s form, however, gives little indication they are in the mood to take down the might of Masandawana.
Chiefs have failed to win in four consecutive league matches, the latest miss coming in a 1-1 draw with TS Galaxy on Saturday at the new Peter Mokaba Stadium in Polokwane.
“The players today gave everything to get a good result. We are going through a moment of bad luck,” Nabi told reporters after the Galaxy game.
“Because of a lack of results we need to hang in there. Everyone has to push more and work hard. We are pretty sure the luck is going to come back and we will see where we finish at the end of the league.”
Chiefs are currently hanging on to eighth place in the table, but are also only seven points behind third-placed Sekhukhune United.
The inconsistency of so many teams in the Premiership means Amakhosi could yet scramble into a Caf Confederation Cup qualifying spot in the league if they can somehow find a run of victories.
‘Game by game’
“We feel we need to take it game by game,” added Nabi.
“It will be very difficult. We have lost points where we shouldn’t have lost points.”
Somehow beating Sundowns and then winning the final of the Nedbank Cup would seem a more viable route for Chiefs into Africa.
They may have to face Sundowns, however, without both their regular centre backs. Rushwin Dortley is already out with a long-term injury, while Angolan defender Inacio Miguel hobbled off at the end of the draw with Galaxy.

“We will have to wait and see how he (Miguel) is doing and get the thoughts of the medical staff, to see if he can be there for the next game,” said Nabi.
