‘My heart has always been at Kaizer Chiefs’ – Bafana midfielder

Kaizer Chiefs and Bafana Bafana midfielder Thabo Cele has expressed his joy at joining Amakhosi.

The 28-year-old moved to Chiefs in January and has been arguably the club’s best player in the past three months. His said his main objective was to help the team improve and challenge for top honours.

“It is the environment and the people that I have found here, my teammates and the technical team,” Cele said as per KickOff

“My heart has always been here. I was working for my dreams, and I think something was always going to happen. I feel good … and I want to help the team try and reach its objective.”

“After the defeat (to Richards Bay), there has been a space of observation and thinking and going deep into our minds and hearts,” he added. 

Before joining Kaizer Chiefs, the Bafana midfielder had spells in Portugal and Russia.

“I feel positive about the next game. We have been working very hard and put some new things into our game.”Cele said.

After the FIFA break, Amakhosi will face Golden Arrow in the Betway Premiership clash on Saturday afternoon. Kaizer Chiefs did not have any single player at Bafana which could give them an advantage.
