Mphela sends a message to Kaizer Chiefs bosses

Kaizer Chiefs supporters have been in an endless debate about whether Nasreddine Nabi should stay or go.

KATELGO MPHELA: KAIZER CHIEFS SHOULD KEEP NASREDDINE NABI

Nabi’s Amakhosi are in 10th position with only eight wins in 26 matches. According to Mphela, the Tunisian coach should be allowed to continue rebuilding into next season, rather than bringing in another new coach to start an entirely new process.

“Looking at the way the team started there was some positivity. There have been injuries to some of the players who started the season very well like Mdu Shabalala and Ashley Du Preez and some suspicious as well which affected the team,” Mphela told Soccer Laduma.

“But as for the coach, I think he is on course to change things and he should be given more time. Let him finish his contract and see what he can do. It won’t be right to change coaches now as the team is not playing badly,” Mphela added.

“It’s just that small thing which needs to be done and start winning. Finishing is the only missing thing now. So Nabi should be given more time.”

In the meantime, Kaizer Chiefs are preparing to face Orlando Pirates in the Nedbank Cup final next Saturday. The Glamour Boys will search for swift revenge after losing the Soweto derby 2-1 on Saturday in the Betway Premiership.
