Pitso Mosimane has strongly been linked to the Orlando Pirates head coaching vacancy during recent weeks.

The Buccaneers are set to welcome a new head coach next season, with Jose Riveiro stepping down at the close of the current season.

While a number of names have been thrown around, Pitso Mosimane has broken his silence on reports suggesting the club have approached him to replace their Spanish tactician.

Mosimane is currently unemployed after leaving Iranian side Esteghlal FC earlier this year.

Despite not coaching a professional football club, the legendary African coach is keeping himself busy with his school’s project.

And now, he has broken his silence on reports linking him to the Orlando Pirates coaching job!

“I’ve seen it [ thespeculation]. Nobody has spoken to me. So, we can’t be talking about nothing,” he told The Sowetan as per IDiski Times.

“We will see. At the moment this badge means a lot to me, more than any other badge.”
