The small village of ‘Oshabeni’ in Mzumbe, KZN has quickly become the ultimate destination for many South African internet users after it proves to be effective for MaYeni, who has used it as a place of solace and peace.
Uthando Nes’thembu star Nokukhanya Yeni has remained a fan-favourite as the popular reality TV show’s eighth season continues to take South Africa by storm with non-stop drama and conflict. As the second wife in Musa Mseleku’s polygamous dynamic, MaYeni has been hailed as the hero of the season as she has done what viewers have been begging the wives to do for a long time, which is standing up to their husband, who the public has labelled as the ultimate reality TV villain.
Oshabeni first gained popularity when Musa fell ill, and instead of tending to him and nursing him back to health as the other wives did, MaYeni packed her bags and headed home to Oshabeni where her home and family are situated. She revealed her whereabout to first wife MaCele when she requested a meeting with all four wives to discuss a way forward regarding their husband’s ill health, which MaYeni responded by saying the meeting could go on without her as she was back home Oshabeni and could not make her way to Sea Park.
Since then, Oshabeni has become more of a state of mind more than an actual place as users have used it to describe when they are at peace and are unbothered by the drama and chaos happening around them.

Recently, Oshabeni’s princess revealed that her location is yet to change as she is still at Oshabeni, poking fun at the situation and alluding to the fact that she is still at peace.

This post has quickly garnered immense attention and has had users across the various social media platforms posting and revealing that they too have found themselves Oshabeni just like MaYeni. These users reveal that they remain unshaken by any negativity in their lives, but rather remain at peace with their situations.
