One act of kindness can change someone’s life forever. Mandisi Tshingana takes the Emerge Africa Humanitarian Award home.

Mandisi is a South African content creator and engineer, popular for his humorous videos and social media presence.

He has recently used his huge following to grow his philanthropic efforts by doing fundraising initiatives, and he has led fundraising campaigns for individuals like Brenda Ngxoli and Uyanda Hlangabezo, a former Big Brother Mzansi housemate.

His current fundraising effort for Uyanda has raised over R100,000, with a goal of reaching R500,000 by the end of the month.

When he spoke to BONA, he shared that he is a puzzle enthusiast who is passionate about solving puzzles and brain teasers, finding it a great way to unwind and challenge his mind.

Well, this did not come as a shocker to his followers, who had evidently been voting for him since the nomination announcement.

Taking to his social media platforms, he wrote a lengthy post where he shared his gratitude.

He said that the moment wasn’t just about him but a celebration of the power of community, compassion, and collective action. He stated that the award belonged not only to him but also to the people who had supported him.

He expressed his gratitude to his family, friends, and online community, saying their belief in his vision and unwavering support had been his greatest source of strength. He noted that together, they had proven that extraordinary things could be achieved.

He dedicated the award to everyone who had contributed to his fundraising campaigns, saying these efforts had been about more than just financial support – they had been about restoring hope, dignity, and faith in humanity. He praised the generosity of others, which had reminded him why he did what he did.

He highlighted the power of social media in their journey, allowing them to connect and unite for bigger causes. He encouraged those present to never underestimate the impact of small acts of kindness, whether through donations, sharing messages of hope, or simply being there for someone in need.

Finally, he thanked them again for the honor and encouraged everyone to continue inspiring one another to create a world where humanity thrived through unity and compassion.

Commenting on BONA, he said, “It is truly and honour. It’s not just about me; it’s a testament to the power of community and collective action. I’m deeply grateful to everyone who has supported me, and I hope this award inspires others to embrace the spirit of ubuntu: recognising that our humanity is intertwined.”

He concluded by saying, “I encourage everyone to remember that even small acts of kindness can create significant change. Let’s continue to uplift each other and foster a world where compassion and unity thrive.”

Social media users and friends flooded his comment section with congratulatory messages.
