Amakhosi are still searching for their first clean sheet of the 2024/25 season.

As Kaizer Chiefs prepare to play their final Betway Premiership fixture of 2024 against Chippa United at the Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban on Sunday afternoon, head coach Nasreddine Nabi said that the club is determined to head into the new year with a victory under their belts.

State of the squad

Our pre-match preparation has gone well. We had a good week of training ahead of this game. We are ready and eager to give a good account of ourselves.

The only player unavailable from the last match against TS Galaxy is (Tebogo) Potsane, which is quite unfortunate because he is a player who just came back from long-term injury and was playing very, well, building up momentum and confidence, so that is disappointing for him and for us.

On the opposition, Chippa United

They are a team that started the league very well.

They are physical, playing in transition with fast players and always tough to beat, but we have analysed them and prepared accordingly.

We want, and expect, a good performance in order to get the positive result that will bring us three points.

On playing at Moses Mabhida Stadium

We look forward to playing in Durban.

The fans there always turn out in big numbers and give us amazing support and brilliant atmosphere.

We really want to give them something to celebrate to add to the holiday spirit and go into the new year on a positive note.
