Reality TV stars Lexi and Mandla have separated
Reality TV couple Lexi Van Niekerk, widely known as Lexi Van, and Mandla Hlatshwayo have officially ended their long-term relationship after more than ten years together.
The pair, who first met on the reality show Big Brother Mzansi, were known for their undeniable chemistry and unforgettable moments on screen, but their love story has now come to an end.
Mandla first hinted at their breakup through cryptic social media posts, writing, “Almost went out like Flabba,” referencing the late rapper Flabba, who was tragically killed by his partner, Sindiwe Manqela. He also reflected on their relationship, stating, “There were red flags from the start, but I’m glad we gave it a shot.”
Lexi also took to her platform to share her side of the story, expressing her pain and frustration.
“Finally walking away from something that you thought would work out. Investing every ounce of self, hope, and belief and then getting disrespected, lied to, gaslit, and betrayed is probably the most f**ked up thing I’ve endured in a long while. But let me gather my crazy self and heal.”
Speaking to ZiMoja, Mandla confirmed the split but remained reserved about the details.
“Things happen; I just prefer not to elaborate. It’s not an attention-seeking publicity stunt.”
While the two have shared a life together for more than a decade and have two children, their journey as a couple has now come to a close.
Fans who followed their romance from its reality TV beginnings have been left shocked by the news, but both Lexi and Mandla seem focused on moving forward separately.
