Lebo M’s estranged wife allegedly sold stolen piano cheap
South African composer and producer Lebo M is said to be deeply hurt after learning that his prized grand piano, worth millions, was allegedly sold for a mere R15,000 by his estranged wife, Pretty Samuels.
Sources close to the Lion King creator claim he was blindsided by the news, especially as the piano held not only high monetary value but deep personal significance.
According to one insider, “The big man (Lebo M) is devastated Pretty sold the piano for R15,000. She agreed to R15,000, which is ridiculous.”
The saga reportedly came to light while Lebo M was gearing up for a major performance with award-winning composer Hans Zimmer.
It was during this time that he discovered the piano was no longer in the storage facility where it had been kept.
A second source suggested the situation goes beyond a misunderstanding, saying, “Pretty is playing victim. She must take accountability for her actions.”
The matter has become part of an ongoing dispute between Lebo M and Pretty, with the composer accusing her of misleading the public regarding their divorce settlement.
While Pretty has not commented publicly, Lebo M’s spokesperson, Simphiwe Majola, confirmed the team is aware of the shockingly low sale price but remained tight-lipped.
“We are aware of the second-hand price for the piano. Unfortunately we can’t comment as Lebo M is on his European tour. We can’t speak on the matter as it is in court,” Majola said.
