One of South Africa’s most well-known YouTubers has officially cemented his name in the cyber history books as he finds a million reasons to be thankful.

Known for his hilarious comedy skits after bursting onto the scene with his viral “Ek sal jou Doom!” video, 26-year-old content creator Lasizwe Dambuza has grown immensely since his humble beginnings as a young creative.

Not only has he reached stardom by later launching his own reality show, Fake It, Till you make It, but has also managed to build himself a strong following on the video streaming platform YouTube. This is all thanks to his widely popular show Awkward Dates.

While difficult times may have crossed his path on several occasions and ultimately led to him stepping away from the content creation space following challenges with his mental health, his return to the platform has since been met with great success.

This comes after he recently became South Africa’s first male under the age of 30 to have reached one million subscribers on YouTube.

Taking to Instagram, Lasizwe burst into excitement.

“We just made history!” he exclaimed.

“I’m the first under 30 male to reach 1 million subscribers on YouTube in South Africa! Crazy!”

Shifting his attention to his fans, he later thanked every one of them for being a part of this journey which had been seven years in the making.

“Firstly, Thank you. Thank you to everyone who has subscribed to my channel and supported me from now and seven years ago.”

To reflect on his path travelled he later invited followers to share what some of their favourite moments of the last couple of years were.
