Khanyi Mbau’s new look earns her a Korean-inspired name

Khanyi Mbau shows off her post-surgery face months after the procedure in Turkey

The South African actress sparked a massive buzz on social media after updating fans about her decision to undergo surgery in Turkey to achieve her desired facial features.

Months later, she unveiled her new look and shared the challenges faced during the journey.

On Monday, Khanyi posted before-and-after photos of her face along with a short video clip, which quickly gained traction across social media platforms.

In the video, Khanyi appeared noticeably younger, with a look that many described as more Korean than South African.

“Maybe I should learn Korean and extend my acting portfolio because clearly, the face has chosen its own ethnicity,” she joked on her Instagram stories.

Mzansi users affectionately gave her a Korean-inspired name, but some sharp-eyed viewers accused her of using filters in the video.

Critics expressed disappointment, questioning why she used filters after reportedly spending a significant amount on the surgery.

“Still using filters and face apps after getting all that surgery is crazy,” one Twitter user commented.

Another wrote, “Still deep within a filter. Happiness can only come from within. Love Ms Mbau though.”

A third added, “Buying a new face just to add filters to it. Wild.”
