Former Kaizer Chiefs star Khama Billiat is making headlines after winning big during his first full season in Zimbabwe.

Earlier this year, Khama Billiat pulled a shocker when he signed for Yadah FC after failing to sign for a Premier Soccer League club after exiting Amakhosi.

KHAMA BILLIAT DROPS HINT ABOUT HIS FUTURE

To cap the 2024 season, Khama Billiat netted 13 goals and provided 11 assists in 26 appearances for the ‘Miracle Boys.’

Undoubtedly, his performance was enough to earn him two awards at the Castle Soccer Stars Awards held by the Zimbabwean Premier Soccer League.

At the Castle Soccer Stars ceremony, Khama Billiat was named the Fans Choice Award winner and the second runner-up in Soccer Star Of The Year.

Meanwhile, Walter Musona was crowned the 2024 Player of the Season, and Lynoth Chikuhwa of Highlanders FC was the first runner-up.

However, Khama Billiat also opened up about his future.

His explosive season has undoubtedly linked him with several PSL Clubs, with Sekhukhune United being one of the clubs closely monitoring the situation.

Back home, the newly promoted Scottland FC are also said to be in the race for his signature. Despite the news, Khama Billiat said it’s bound to happen but will only reveal his next destination in due time.

After receiving his award, Billiat said: “Obviously, a lot is being said right now. And it’s natural for people to say things. But right now, I am focusing on improving myself and celebrating these wins. I will surely move, but the whereto has not yet been decided.

“I can’t really say much about the future, but all I can say is that something big will come. We are working on something.

“And obviously, the key thing is to value and celebrate the time we had at Yadah FC. I am getting all the attention because of that move to Yadah.

“So my next destination will be revealed in due time, but now I’m celebrating this success,” added Khama Billiat.

CAREER

The 33-year-old debuted during Yadah FC’s League opener against Hwange FC. Speaking to the media on the sidelines of his debut, he said he was overwhelmed by the reception and hoped to show his flair.

Khama Billiat said, “I’m still energetic, I’m still hungry to do more, and I feel that agility and my texture allow me to perform for quite some time.”

He had his youth career with Aces Youth Soccer Academy before joining CAPS United in 2010. However, he switched the floor to Ajax Cape Town the same year. He left Ajax Cape Town in 2013 for Mamelodi Sundowns.

In 2018, he joined Kaizer Chiefs in a big money transfer. However, his stint with the Soweto Giants was not as colourful as many thought it would be.

After dumping the Soweto giants in the eleventh hour in June 2023, Khama Billiat joined Yadah FC in February 2024.
