The Young, Famous, and African reality star Kefilwe Mabote has once again proven that the journey of preserving her faith is worth more to her than life’s pleasures.
This comes as the media personality recently made headlines for getting rid of the earthly reaches that might stand in the way of her heavenly inheritance. In a recent post shared on the social media platform Instagram, Kefilwe could be seen burning her designer items in an effort to cut herself free from all of the spiritual ties that have been holding her in bondage.
“That moment you realise the ‘gift’ was a gateway, a soul tie sitting pretty in your wardrobe.
“Burnt it like the altar of Baal. I refuse to carry spiritual baggage dressed as sentiment. If it wasn’t sealed in covenant, it has no place in my life,” she wrote.
A video shared on her Instagram story showed how her luxury Christian Dior handbag went up in flames before she later quoted a scripture emphasising the importance of not having idols.
Kefilwe started her Christian journey earlier this year and has been transparent about her love for God. Over the last few months, she has shared regular devotions and a video of her getting baptised.
“The journey for deliverance was not easy. It came with a deep sacrifice, prayer, and fasting. For three months of fasting for deliverance, some days with no food and others with only water, I fought to break free from soul ties and cast out the spiritual baggage that had taken root in my life from my first marriage,” she noted.
