South African influencer Kefilwe Mabote set social media abuzz after sharing a clip of herself burning some of her designer clothes worth thousands.
Since it was posted online, the video has gained thousands of comments and reactions. However, the author and now reality TV star has since revealed the reasons behind the decision.
KEFILWE MABOTE TURNS TO GOD
She has since publicly declared that she has turned to God and must let go of worldly distractions and pleasures.
Kefilwe Mabote explained that she had found God, and things she had never understood were revealed to her things she had followed, such as her idolatry, horoscopes, new age practices, unforgiveness, soul ties, wrong crowds and more.
Kefilwe Mabote said, “These things kept me bound without realizing it and were tools the enemy used to keep me in bondage.”
She also revealed that she had repented and surrendered herself to God. The influencer added, “I see life differently now, and I’ve learned to live with humility.”
BURNING SOME OF HER EXPENSIVE CLOTHES
The revelation undoubtedly led to her burning some of her designer clothes, especially her Versace wear. Many were puzzled by this, especially since the clothes were worth thousands.
She said, “Burning the Medusa face was one of the most freeing and therapeutic things I’ve ever done as one of the things of breaking down the idols I unknowingly built in my heart, the very things that distracted me from fully walking with Jesus.”
However, a few weeks after giving away some of her designer clothes, she burned some of them.
A few weeks ago, she posted several designer clothes on Instagram and urged her loyal fans to DM what they wanted from the list.
This gesture warmed the hearts of many. However, the publication has established that she still has a soft spot for designer clothes.
She revealed that designer clothes would be an item, not a reflection of her identity or purpose.

However, despite her more fashion-oriented content, Kefilwe Mabote seems to have shifted her focus more to automobile content.
In recent years, she has wowed many with her impressive fleet, worth millions. She recently had car shows that saw hundreds of cars causing a stir in Johannesburg and Durban.
She has been sharing automobile-oriented content, which has led many to believe that she might be shifting focus from fashion content.
