Kaizer Chiefs could get the opportunity to sign their long-term target, Fiston Mayele, from Pyramids.
The Soweto giants have been linked with the Egypitan-based striker for over a year. After two years with Pyramids, the Congolse striker is set to leave the club, with teams lining up for his signature.
Amakhosi are looking to bring in a proven goal scorer next season and Mayele might be the man they need. According to Soccer Laduma, Pyramids are looking to replace Mayele with former Kaizer Chiefs target Andy Boyeli.
“It’s believed that Pyramids are preparing for the possibility of another striker as Fiston Mayele could be leaving at the end of the season. They believe Andy (Boyeli) could be the right replacement. They have enquired about him, and it’s now all up to Sekhukhune United to decide about the offer or the move. But Pyramids are believed to be interested in him,” the Siya source said.
Kaizer Chiefs might finally sign their dream striker
“As of now, I can’t say who these strikers are they are looking at, but the club has already identified possible replacements for Boyeli in case he leaves for Pyramids in Egypt or any other team that could he interested in him. The team wants to be ready for that,” a second source told Soccer Laduma this week.
Kaizer Chiefs are also looking to sign a quality left-back. Stellenbosch defender Fawaaz Basadien has been on the club’s radar for some time. It was reported that their first bid to sign the Bafana Bafana left-back was rejected.
