Kaizer Chiefs Transfer News: EXITS

Kaizer Chiefs will be releasing several players in January. Some on loan, others face permanently.

Kaizer Chiefs are set to release a plethora of talent in the January PSL transfer window.

So, let’s take a look at all the players currently heading out of Naturena.

CHIEFS STARS HEADING OUT OF NATURENA

Nasreddine Nabi has established Inacio Miguel and Rushwin Dortkley as his first-choice centre back pairing. Meaning, the other defenders face a struggle to get game time for Chiefs.

Currently, Zitha Kwinika is likely heading out of Naturena. Meanwhile, Chiefs have to release a foreign-based player due to the PSL quota on foreign players. The policy allows for five foreign stars per side in the Betway Premiership. However, Edmilson Dove (Mozambique) is on his way back.

Meaning one of their foreign players will have to leave.

Ditlokwe sits behind Migual, Dortley and Given Msimango in the current Chiefs pecking order. He will need to feature more prominently if he is going to play for his national side, Botswana. Given his current place in the pecking order and the PSL’s foreign quota policy, he is likely heading out.

So, Msimango is the man likely to be retained at the back with Kwinika and Dihtlokwe facing likely exits.

Meanwhile, George Matlou is facing a probable departure as well.

“It’s clear that he’s not in the coach’s plans and he might be offloaded as early as January,” an insider reported on Phakaaati.

AMAKHOSI ATTACKERS HEADING OUT?

Christian Saile is another foreign player who is not favored by Nabi.

In fact, he was not in Nabi’s plans but survived the cut due to Chiefs failing to secure another attacker in the previous transfer window. Now, Nabi and Amakhosi management have prioritized the need to secure an attacker or two.

Therefore, he is also likely heading out of Naturena.
