Kaizer Chiefs are set to let go of one of the clubs most valuable players.

Kaizer Chiefs have just wrapped up their PSL transfer business.

However, their next moves are already being planned. As reported on The South African, Amakhosi could lose this R20-million star to PSL rivals. Meanwhile, they have reportedly decided to let go of this international midfielder.

CHIEFS SET TO PART WAYS WITH MIDFIELDER

Edson Castillo is the latest Chiefs player linked with an exit.

“With the arrival of Thabo Cele, the situation for Edson Castillo has changed. You know his contract is coming to an end in June this year and its believed that club cannot keep more defensive midfielders as they have Yusuf Maart, Sibongiseni Mthethwa, Samkelo Zwane, Njabulo Blom and now Thabo Cele and that’s apparently why the team ia set to part ways with Castillo,” the report read on SNL.

Meaning, he is the most likely of the aforementioned players to leave the club.

However, due to the January transfer window being closed, he will not be leaving any time soon. So, if Castillo does leave, he will leave after his contract expires in June.

Castillo is currently valued at roughly R9m on (R8.6 million), according to Transfermarkt.

AMAKHOSI STARS ALREADY LINKED WITH MOVES

Reeve Frosler has drawn interest from PSL rivals, Stellenbosch FC.

Meanwhile, TWO Chiefs stars have been linked with moves to AmaZulu. Therefore, as many as THREE stars are facing likely exits out of Naturena come the next transfer window.

Currently, Frosler and Zitha Kwinika are linked with moves to PSL rivals. Whilst, as mentioned, Castillo is likely heading out of Naturena soon. In fact, his current Chiefs contract expires in June this year. Therefore, he will likely leave in the next transfer window.
