Kaizer Chiefs to finally announce eight players

Betway Premiership and Soweto giants Kaizer Chiefs will end plenty of speculations this week. The transfer window will officially open.

30 June is the end of existing football deals before new moves can be announced. This means Kaizer Chiefs will begin to announce eight of their reported new signings for next season.

The list is expected to include standout names like Thabiso Monyane, Paseka Mako, known from Orlando Pirates and Ethan Chislett.

According to reports over the previous weeks, Kaizer Chiefs have signed three full-backs, a central defender, a winger, an attacking midfielder and two centre forwards.

The former Orlando Pirates duo, Mako and Monyane, became the earliest signings after disagreeing on new deals with the Buccaneers, and the same can be said of Chilsett and his former club, Port Vale FC, in England.

The latest reports from last weekend revealed that former Bafana Bafana defender Thibang Phete has left Icelandic side Vestri, while ex-KZN Academy defender Nkanyiso Shinga is joining Kaizer Chiefs after a transfer fee agreement with his Portuguese club Alverca.

Additionally, the Guinea-Bissau international striker, Flavio Silva, who was born in Portugal, has reportedly arrived in Johannesburg to join Kaizer Chiefs.

  • Flavio Silva, 30, striker, from Persebaya Surabaya.
