Kaizer Chiefs will break open their pay structure for one of the most exciting goal-scoring midfielders on the continent in January.

Kaizer Chiefs want a new top maestro

Tanzanian international midfield star Feisal Salum is commanding a massive new pay rise with his current club Azam FC. Simba SC and Kaizer Chiefs are both lurking with considerable intent. According to The Citizen, Amakhosi have the funds to out-bid Azam and offer him improved terms. However, Chiefs face a tough stage of negotiations if they want to lure the midfielder away from his homeland. The attacking midfield maestro scored 19 goals last term.

What does the pay hierarchy look like at Chiefs now?

Previously, Keagan Dolly was allegedly earning a reported R1.4 million a month. However, the former Sundowns and Montpellier man refutes those claims, saying they’re well wide of the mark. Outgoing skipper and club legend Itumeleng Khune was on a reported R480,000 a month.

Stellies raid?

Chiefs have already got three former Stellenbosch players on their roster, namely, Ashley Du Preez, Zitha Kwinika and Sibongiseni Mthethwa. They’ve been linked with several players in recent windows and there’s a new man on the wish list.

According to Soccer Laduma, 25-year-old central defender Thabo Moloisane is the latest Stellenbosch defender being courted by Kaizer Chiefs. His contract expires in June 2025. Another star impressing for Stellies is Sihle Nduli, a midfield maestro likened to the great Andrea Pirlo. Read more via The South African’s Siseko Gwegwe.

Meanwhile, According to Soccer-Laduma, midfield general Thabo Cele fancies a return to South Africa in 2025 after a spell in Russia with Fakel Voronezh. The enforcer has made 27 appearances for Fakel since moving there in August 2023 from Polish side Radomiak. Amakhosi could be on red alert now.
