Kaizer Chiefs are hoping to sign Tanzanian international Feisal Salum.

However, Mamelodi Sundowns are also after the Azam FC midfielder.

Close to Nabi and Kaze’s heart

AmaKhosi coach Nasreddine Nabi and his assistant, Cedric Kaze, have fond memories of Salum having managed the player years ago.

The smiley 26-year-old has all the traits of a great midfielder, able to split open defences and control the middle of the pitch – exactly what Kaizer Chiefs need.

But with the Brazilians also in the hunt, there’s a good chance he may opt for the Pretoria outfit as the best way of achieving domestic success.

SoccerLaduma confirmed Nabi’s and Kaze’s desire to sign the classy midfielder, reporting, “There could be more changes in the playing staff at Chiefs in January. You know the Tanzanian midfielder that Mamelodi Sundowns have been following, Feisal Salum? Kaizer is now after him. Actually, the assistant coach Cedric Kaze is believed to have proposed him to the club as both he and Nabi know him from Yanga. He played under them before joining Azam and he feels there is a role he can play at the club hence his suggestion to the team. It’s just that at Chiefs for now, when they are ready they will approach Azam. But there is that talk at the club now about Feisal Salum”.

Orlando Pirates want Bafana Bafana star

Orlando Pirates are willing to offer Goodman Mosele and Siphelo Baloni plus cash in exchange for 24-year-old Sinoxolo Kwayiba.

“Pirates are the ones who have moved faster in trying to acquire the services of Sinoxolo (Kwayiba). The technical team has been impressed so far in what they have seen from the player and that’s why they want to involve a player exchange to influence the deal. It could be money plus players involved. But what I can tell you is that Pirates are in the forefront to get him,” an insider told  SoccerLaduma.

“As for Baloni he is currently at Chippa on loan from Pirates while Mosele is recovering from injury though the club has indicated that they would be willing to loan him out. So those are the players that Pirates believe they will use to persuade Chippa for the services of Sinoxolo [Kwayiba].”

The Chippa United midfielder is a hot commodity in the PSL and one that Buccaneers management wants to see in black and white.

Following his Bafana Bafana debut, Kwayiba’s stock is rising, meaning they will want to act fast.
