Kaizer Chiefs, Sundowns might not get Appollis this January and here’s why

Bafana Bafana star Oswin Appollis has been on Kaizer Chiefs and Mamelodi Sundowns radar for months.

The 23-year-old winger has been one of the Premier Soccer League‘s best players and it’s no surprise why he is sought after. He was heavily linked with a move away from Polokwane City before the start of the season. Esperance de Tunis from Tunisia and MC Alger from Algeria were some of the teams that were also interested in the Bafana Bafana star.

Chiefs and Sundowns are not just interested in Appollis but also have their eyes on another Rise and Shine star Thabang Matuludi. Polokwane City coach Phuti Mohafe says is not ready to lose his two key players.

“I’m more than happy to still have them in the team because they are the core, and they are the most important players for us, even though those guys are touting for them,” Mohafe said as per iDiksi Times.

Chiefs and Sundowns might not sign Appollis very soon

“So I think it’s a blessing in disguise for Polokwane City to still have them. And as for how long they are going to be with us, that one, I don’t know. That one, I don’t know, but I just so wish that they can still be with us for another season.”

Despite Chiefs and Sundowns interests, Appollis was also wanted by Esperance de Tunis from Tunisia and MC Alger from Algeria. The 23-year-old winger could still leave the club in January.

Should Oswin Appollis stay with City or move overseas in the Jan transfer?
