Kaizer Chiefs are reportedly considering offloading a first team attacker when his contract runs out at the end of the season.

The Glamour Boys are struggling to find consistency under new head coach Nasreddine Nabi and a number of transfers are predicted to rock the Amakhosi camp at the end of the season.

According to the latest gossip, one such player linked with a departure is struggling striker Ranga Chivaviro.

The 32-year-old joined the club in June 2023, on a two-year contract, however he’s struggling to leave his mark at Naturena.

Chivaviro has scored nine goals in 45 appearances for Kaizer Chiefs while assisting one further goal.

According to local publication Soccer Laduma, Ranga Chivaviro is set to be offloaded by Kaizer Chiefs at the end of the season.

The club are not looking at triggering his contract extension clause as the player hasn’t delivered for the club.

The publication further claims Ranga’s camp are not too concerned as interest in him remains high.

In other news, Kaizer Chiefs coach Nasreddine Nabi already has one eye on next season.

The Glamour Boys have enjoyed a hot-and-cold maiden season under the Tunisian tactician.

While their Nedbank Cup hopes remain alive, the league title is all but gone for Kaizer Chiefs.

And now, the club will have to sign some quality players in the off-season to compete with rivals Orlando Pirates and Mamelodi Sundowns!

Nabi adds Sekhukhune star to his wishlist

According to the latest transfer gossip, Sekhukhune United wing-back Vuyo Letlapa is wanted by Nasreddine Nabi.

The 21-year-old has enjoyed an incredible breakthrough season at United. Letlapa has made 16 appearances for his side, registering two assists so far.

“It’s an open secret that Chiefs are in the market for a talented left-back for next season. This is one of the areas that coach Nasreddine Nabi wants to fix,” an insider told Citizen.

“It’s a troublesome area for the club this season. Coach Nabi has submitted a list of left-backs that he would like the club to sign and Vuyo Letlapa of Sekhukhune United is on that list.”

Teams like Kaizer Chiefs don’t die – Nabi

“It’s not about confidence, but the process is a scientific process designed in steps,” Nasreddine Nabi said as per FARPost.

“And when you understand or when you see where you are and what you need for the future…

“For example, when you have the assimilation of the modern game and players have assimilated everything about your ideas, then it’s just about time to get where you want to be.

“Teams like Kaizer Chiefs sometimes get in tough spaces. Let’s say they get ill, but they never die. It’s just a matter of time before they wake up.”
