Kaizer Chiefs midfielder Edson Castillo is being monitored by Egypt’s Zamalek SC, who sit third in the Egyptian Premier League.

The 30-year-old’s contract runs out at the of the season, meaning there’s concern that the R8.6 million man could leave for free.

Rumours confirmed

“There have been several inquiries but the main one which seems serious is from Zamalek,” SoccerLaduma commented.

“They had inquired before but at that time Chiefs were not willing to let him go. At the moment it seems he could leave for free as the club doesn’t seem keen to extend his contract,

“It’s his choice actually if Chiefs don’t renew and if Zamalek are interest in him it will depend on the talks between the player and Zamalek. Of course, there have been inquiries and with Thabo Cele at the team now and the injury that Castillo suffered, this is chance now.”

Moremi to Pirates?

Kaizer Chiefs are in the race with Mamelodi Sundowns and Orlando Pirates for uSuthu winger Tshepang Moremi:

“As things stand now, we can say Orlando Pirates are in the forefront compared to Sundowns and Kaizer Chiefs,” a Siya source stated.

“They have inquired about his services and things could work out at the end of the season. It will all depend on talks and negotiations whenever they start as it’s still early to say much at the moment,” they added.

Another source said, “As I have said, it will al depend on the talks and negotiations, but it could involve money and player exchange as well. The value of the player and what AmaZulu want from Pirates could also determine the whole deal at the end of the day.”

Is this silly business for Kaizer Chiefs?
