Kaizer Chiefs player’s who WON’T make Orlando Pirates XI

Orlando Pirates have built a really good squad under Jose Riveiro.

Orlando Pirates have built a very exciting, balanced and strong squad under Jose Riveiro. The Bucs currently sit second in the latest PSL standings. Meanwhile, they are in the Nedbank Cup final and they reached the semi-finals of the CAF Champions League.

In stark contrast, Soweto derby rivals Kaizer Chiefs currently sit in eighth position in the Betway Premiership. Meanwhile, they can salvage some pride when they face the Bucs in the Nedbank Cup final on 10 May 2025.

So, l firmly believe that most of the current Chiefs side are not good enough to make it into the Bucs squad. Let’d divulge deeper into this.

CHIEFS PLAYER’S WHO WOULD BE BENCHED AT PIRATES

Bruce Bvuma, Brandon Peterson and Fiacre Ntwari have all had their issues at Chiefs this season.

Whilst, Chaine has excelled in between the sticks for Pirates. Meanwhile, in defence, Tapelo Xoki and Nkosinathi Sibisi. I believe Rushwin Dortley could press for a starting spot given that he is a Bafana Bafana international. Blom is good enough too but only when he is in his prime.

In the midfield, one has to back Yusuf Maart alongside the in-form Patrick Maswanganyi and Thalenthe Mbatha. Gston Sirino and Mdu Shabalala would cause Riveiro selection headaches though.

Finally, up front there is no doubt that Relebohile Mofokeng would join teammate Mohau Nkota or Monnapule Saleng (in his prime) and Tshegofatso Mabaso. Therefore, I don’t believe any Amakhosi forwards would start under Riveiro at Pirates.
