Kaizer Chiefs wrapped up their 2024 Betway Premiership commitments on a winning note, beating Chippa United at the Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban on Sunday.

Amakhosi won 1-0 thanks to a 45th-minute goal from 20-year-old star Mduduzi Shabalala.

It was also the first match this season in which the Glamour Boys had managed to keep a clean sheet.

Kaizer Chiefs moved up to seventh place in the standings with 15 points after 10 matches thanks to four wins, three draws and three defeats.

Meanwhile, Chippa United slipped to ninth place with 14 points after 11 games.

Kaizer Chiefs will next be in action away from home against Cape Town City FC on Sunday, 5 January at 17:45.

In other results from Sunday, Orlando Pirates beat Magesi FC 1-0, AmaZulu edged Cape Town City FC by the same scoreline, and TS Galaxy proved far too strong for Royal AM, winning 3-1.
