Kaizer Chiefs fumble THREE marquee targets

Kaizer Chiefs have seemingly dropped the ball in the chase for three premium transfer targets. Who are they?

Pitso will sign Tau ahead of Kaizer Chiefs

According to iDiski Times, Pitso Mosimane’s team Esteghlal holds a crucial advantage over Kaizer Chiefs in the race for Percy Tau.

“Pitso Mosimane could be in line to make a sensational move for Bafana forward Percy Tau in the January window. Tau, 30, has been informed that he can leave Al Ahly pending an agreement of a mutual termination and the likes of Zamalek SC and Kaizer Chiefs have been mooted as suitors. However, reports in Egyptian media claim Mosimane, who signed him for Ahly from Premier League side Brighton and Hove Albion, wants to reunite with him in Iran. Currently at Esteghlal, who have struggled for goals since his arrival, the signing of Tau could be a major boost for the second half of the season for the Persian Gulf Pro giants who are also competing in the AFC Champions League.”

Salum is out of reach

Long-standing attacking midfield target Feisal Salum could be staying in Tanzania. The 26-year-old’s current deal with Pyramids runs until 2026. Chiefs, therefore would have to cough up a significant transfer fee to land the goal-scoring schemer. Azam’s spokesperson Hashim Ibwe has dangled a carrot in front of Chiefs by stating Salum still hasn’t signed a new deal. Tanzanian league leaders Simba SC are thought to be interested in the player who bagged 19 goals from midfield last term.

What about Mayele?

Fiston Mayele has been scoring goals for run at Pyramids FC and has been persistently linked with a move to Chiefs. The board will have to cough up something in the region of R20 million, or perhaps north of that figure, to secure the Congolese marksman. Is that too much money for a 30-year-old?

Is Mbuthu driving a R2 million Range Rover?

19-year-old Kaizer Chiefs winger Nkosana Mbuthu has caused a stir on Instagram with his latest posts driving an expensive Range Rover. It’s not clear whether the car belongs to him, but either way, commenters are coming out of the woodwork. The post has since been deleted/archived. Interesting.
