Kaizer Chiefs are set to release several players at the end of the current 2024/25 Betway Premiership.
Kaizer Chiefs are going to be offloading many players in the next transfer window.
Meanwhile, Amakhosi has identified these SEVEN red-hot transfer targets. So, let’s take a look at all the players facing likely departures out of Naturena.
CHIEFS PLAYERS FACING LIKELY EXITS
- Fiacre Ntwari
- Bontle Molefe (loan)
- Aden McCarthy (loan)
- Zitha Kwinika
- Reeve Frosler
- Edmilson Dove
- George Matlou
- Nkosingiphile Ngcobo
- Ranga Chivaviro
Chiefs will be making changes to their goalkeeper department.
Meanwhile, Molefe is the other shot stopper likely to be released as Amakhosi aim to free up space in their goalkeeper department.
“The team is looking for an experienced goalkeeper but at the same time they may release two as they look to cut down players in the goalkeeping department. It’s believed they are looking at Bontle Molefe and Fiacre Ntwari to be either loaned out of sold if changes be and promote Takalani (Mazhamba),” the insider stated on SNL.
DEFENSIVE DEPARTMENT SET FOR CLEAN UP
McCarthy is one of the Chiefs players not in Nasreddine Nabi’s plans. However, Amakhosi management do have plans to utilize him in the future. Meaning, he is likely to be loaned out.
Meanwhile, Kwinika has struggled for gametime under Nabi and this is unlikely to change if he remains at Naturena. Ultimately, Inacio Miguel and Rushwin Dortley are the first-choice centre backs. So, while Dortley is injured Given Msimango is the man likely to step up.
Furthermore, Chiefs have decided to release this R12-million defender at the end of the season.
Finally, Frosler is linked with a possible move to PSL rivals.
CHIEFS MIDFIELDERS, ATTACKER POISED TO LEAVE NATURENA
Matlou is once again linked with a departure. Meaning, he will likely leave in the next transfer window.
Moreover, Chiefs fan-favourite, Ngcobo, does not fit into Nabi’s Chiefs plans.
“There is no doubt he is a talented midfielder but he [Ngcobo] is not what the coach is looking for. He is believed to be a bit slow from what the coach prefers. So they want to give him a chance to play at a team where his talent and way of playing will be appreciated. That’s why they looking to loan him,” the insider stated on SoccerLaduma.
Finally, Chivaviro is one of SIX Chiefs stars whose contracts expire at the end of the season. Given his lack of gametime and underwhelming form since joining Amakhosi, he is also likely to leave.
