Kaizer Chiefs fans share mixed feeling on Tashreeq Morris’ signing

Kaizer Chiefs are believed to have signed SuperSport United Tashreeq Morris but Amakhosi fans are divided on the player.

The 30-year-old has scored two league goals for Matsatsantsa this season including one against Chiefs. On Thursday, SABC Sport revealed that the Cape Town-born player was set to complete his medical at Amakhosi in the coming days.

In October, Tashreeq Morris scored the only goal of the match to help SuperSport United beat Kaizer Chiefs at the Peter Mokaba Stadium.

“Morris will join Amakhosi this week to start training with his new Chiefs teammates should he pass the medical as expected, although the red card in his final game for SuperSport means he will miss two matches,” SABC Sport reported.

Some Khosi fans were not impressed when they heard the news that Morris could be heading to Naturena.

@KB_Ramasimong wrote: “There is nothing to justify Tashreeq Morris signing. No honest and avid follower of football in this country can say Tashreeq is a quality striker. The Problem is we don’t have standard anymore, anyone can play for Chiefs, anyone.”

@eemz_em tweeted, “The Kaizer Chiefs assistant coach said they submitted the names of the players they want to the management. Tashreeq Morris is now rumoured to be joining. It appears that he’s the quality Nabi has been asking for.”

It appears to be a matter of time before Kaizer Chiefs officially announce Tashreeq Morris as their new signing.

Will Morris fit Amakhosi’s system?
