Kaizer Chiefs have officially announced the departure of Mduduzi Mdantsane to Richards Bay FC.
In a statement released on Friday, Amakhosi confirmed that Mdantsane will spend the remainder of the season on loan at The Natal Rich Boyz.
This is not surprising given the fact that The South African reported on the news of Mdantsane leaving Chiefs on loan.
However, at the time, neither Chiefs nor Richards Bay FC were able to announce the loan deal.
Mdantsane left Chiefs without featuring under Nasreddine Nabi who came in at the start of the current season.
His lack of game time can largely be attributed to the fact that he missed the club’s pre-season due to injury.
The left-footer reportedly suffered a broken jaw due in a car accident he was involved in just before Chiefs returned from the off-season.
Players such as Tebogo Potsane and George Matlou had since moved ahead of him in the pecking order.
And the Chiefs technical team saw the need to loan him out to strugglers Richards Bay FC for the next few months.
Nonetheless, Mdantsane reunites with former teammate Sabelo Radebe who is also on loan from the Soweto giants until June 2025.
KAIZER CHIEFS SHIP OUT MDANTSANE TO RICHARDS BAY FC
“Kaizer Chiefs have agreed to a loan deal that sees midfielder Mduduzi Mdantsane join KwaZulu-Natal side, Richards Bay, for the remainder of the 2024/25 season,” reads the statement on the club’s website.
“Mdantsane, a talented and experienced attacking midfielder will rejoin Amakhosi at the end of the season.
“We wish ‘Mdu’ all the best as he embarks on this new chapter in his career. His journey at Natal Rich Boyz is sure to be an exciting one, and we look forward to his return to the Amakhosi family, ready to make a mark in the team.”
SHOULD MDANTSANE BE RECALLED IN JUNE?
