Kaizer Chiefs pushing to sign Mabuya

Richards Bay right-back Lwandile Mabuya could soon find himself at Naturena.

According to the latest reports, Kaizer Chiefs are keen on signing the talented 24-year-old.

Mabuya has already made 53 top-flight appearances for Richards Bay and will undoubtedly inject some much-needed energy in Nasreddine Nabi’s side.

“Kaizer Chiefs are understood to have made an enquiry over Richards Bay right back Lwandile Mabuya’s availability,” an SABC Sport report read.

In other related news, Kaizer Chiefs look set to miss out on signing one of Nasreddine Nabi’s top transfer targets.

26-year-old Tanzanian attacking midfielder Feisal Salum has strongly been linked with a move to Naturena during recent weeks.

Salum, who enjoyed a glorious spell under Nasreddine Nabi at Young Africans, is one of the Tunisian’s priority targets.

However, his current club Azam FC have slapped a staggering price tag on him!

According to the latest reports, Kaizer Chiefs’ improved offer for Salum was rejected as the Tanzanian side are holding out for their R40 million valuation.

Azam FC ask Chiefs to cough up R40 million for Salum

“Chiefs are said to have offered Azam a significant offer for the 26-year-old, but the offer falls short of the R40 million evaluation by the club for the Tanzanian international,” the Citizen reported.

“Unless Chiefs offer what Azam wants, I don’t see the deal happening anytime soon. What’s more, Feisal wants to stay in Tanzania and with Simba also interested, it seems he’s likely to join them,” a source told the same publication.

According to reputable African football journalist Micky Jnr, Kaizer Chiefs tabled an offer worth approximately R6 million for Salum, which was rejected by Azam FC.
