These Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates players will miss the Soweto derby due to suspension.
Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates go head-to-head in the first of two Soweto derbies this Saturday.
However, both teams will be without some big stars. This is because Bucs and Amakhosi stars have been dished out suspensions. Meanwhile, these FIVE Chiefs players will miss the Soweto derby too.
PIRATES DEFENDER COPS SUSPENSION
Nkosinathi Sibisi will miss the first of two Soweto derby clashes between Pirates and Chiefs.
This is because he picked up his fourth successive yellow card of the season during last night shock 0-1 home defeat against Sekhukhune United.
So, he has been served a one-match suspension. Meaning, he will be available for the second Soweto derby when the Bucs and Amakhosi meet in the Nedbank Cup final on 10 May 2025.
CHIEFS STAR SUSPENDED FOR FIRST SOWETO DERBY
Chiefs striker, Wandile Duba also picked up a suspension.
He received his fourth yellow of the campaign during Chiefs 2-1 loss against Marumo Gallants.
Therefore, he is in the same boat as Sibisi. Duba will also miss the first Soweto derby encounter, the PSL edition, this Saturday. He will however be available for selection for the Nedbank Cup final a week later.
