The month of October saw the story of Lesego Pase, the bereaved mother of the late baby Kaone, taking the country by storm when she revealed the details of baby Kaone’s death and the events that took place shortly after, including the burial of Kaone in her absence.

Community members who were once on Lesego’s side, calling for justice for baby Kaone have turned their backs on her.

Lesego Pase gained the attention and support of many South Africans after she took to social media to raise awareness about the peculiar situation she had found herself in.

The details of baby Kaone’s death, followed by Oberon’s insistence to go through with the funeral in Lesego’s absence generated concern from mzansi as citizens highlighted the red flags in this situation.

Since the unfortunate ordeal, Lesego has brought constant updates to the public, letting them know about any new leads concerning the case, as they were an integral part of garnering attention to her case, which sped the process up for Lesego.

It appears that these updates are not enough for a group of women who have been supporting Lesego from the beginning.

It has been revealed that a WhatsApp group consisting of approximately 50 women, including entertainment commentator pages such as Buzzy B on Instagram have expressed irritation towards Lesego as they believe that the distraught mother has not been keeping them in the loop enough for their liking.

These women think that Lesego used them to get donations from the public, and have been quick to remind Lesego of how they supported her at her lowest, insinuating that she owes them the courtesy of telling them every detail concerning Kaone’s case

Other users who are now privy to the situation have spoken up against the group of women for their lack of empathy towards a grieving mother.

Many have noted the women’s actions as unacceptable and borderline bullying. This situation has triggered even bigger support for Lesego as the public continues to stand up for her against the group of women,

Lesego, along with a significant number of users believe that this smear campaign has Oberon’s name written all over it, as he is determined to deter the baby to ensure baby Kaone and Lesego receive justice for his death.
